Ep. 1

Hooked on games

There was an ordinary student who loved games.

A quokka grinning wide, holding a gamepad in both paws.

Whoa… this is so fun!

The first thing I reached for after school was always a controller.

A quokka plopped on the floor, laughing as it plays with a gamepad.

Just one more round… just one!

The more I explored worlds on the screen, the more I wondered about the world beyond it.

A quokka with a backpack walks along, waving a passport and plane ticket.

What lies beyond this screen?

Wanting to see more of the world, I left Korea at a young age and headed to Europe.

Ep. 2

Somewhere new

A quokka walks happily with a passport and plane ticket. A European city is faintly visible behind.

It's all so new, but it's fun!

A new language, an unfamiliar culture. Everything was a first.

A quokka in headphones smiles while sitting at a laptop.

Slow and steady.

A quokka walks with a map tucked in its backpack, hugging a leather journal.

Getting lost is fine. I've got a map!

I kept trying, kept learning, and slowly found my place.

Then one day, in the middle of a game, a thought struck me.

A quokka smiles with a paw on its chin. A light bulb glows above its head.

How do you even make a game like this?

"I want to build worlds like these, too."

A thoughtful quokka surrounded by floating icons: a light bulb, code, a gamepad, a picture, a heart and a star.

Code, art, sound… I want to try it too!

So I studied computer science, laying the groundwork to make games myself.

A quokka in headphones studies on a laptop next to thick books and a notebook with a flowchart.

Game engines, OOP.. this is kinda hard…?

I learned how to write code, and how to draw, too.

A quokka in a hoodie types on a laptop at a desk, smiling.

Someday, I’ll bring my imagined worlds to life..!

A quokka wearing a backpack sits and draws on a tablet with a stylus.

I will draw it myself, too!

Europe taught me more than game development. It gave me the strength to get things done on my own, and a wider view of the world.

A quokka stands proudly holding its backpack straps. A European city is faintly visible behind.

Even when it was hard, I held on. I am stronger than I thought.

Then, ready for a bigger challenge, I packed my bags.

A quokka strides along pulling a suitcase.

Time to go home!

With everything I had learned, I came back home to Korea.

Ep. 3

Home again

I set up a desk in the corner of a small room and started again.

A quokka with a quokka plush charm on its backpack works on a laptop in headphones. Seoul is faintly visible behind.

Okay. Time to start what I really want to make.

Sketching ideas, drawing scenes, shaping the game one piece at a time.

A quokka in headphones draws on a tablet at a desk covered with game scene sketches, a mug and plants.

Ooh, this scene works!

Hoping a small idea born from something I love can become a joyful experience for someone else,

A quokka sits with a laptop and throws one fist in the air in celebration.

Where a small idea becomes someone’s favorite game.

Quokka Forge begins.

Loving games is what brought me here.

Now I hope the worlds we make

make someone's day a little brighter.
